- What our people have to say
I’ve always worked in digital and IT despite training as a nurse initially. At HCA UK, I’m seeing more and more women in these roles and in better positions. We are leading that change and more people are being recognised for the skillsets. It’s such a vital part of the healthcare service and HCA UK is bringing in more people to properly grow this industry.
Menika Seegoolam
Clinical Systems Manager
HCA Healthcare UK stands out for its commitment to excellence, continuous improvement, and empowering its people. Over my nearly 20 years within ITG, I’ve witnessed how technology, when aligned to clinical priorities, becomes a critical enabler of safer, smarter, and more effective patient care. It’s rewarding to work in an environment where you’re supported to lead, innovate, and deliver meaningful impact for patients.
Marsha
Chief Information Officer
We aren’t directly supporting patients, but we support the HCA UK doctors who, in turn, are helping patients. We’re the ones providing the data and databases, the connectivity and networks. It’s up to us to keep everything running as smoothly and as effectively as possible. Because of the connections we make, we really feel connected to HCA UK’s community.

- Clinical Applications
- From electronic health records to sophisticated oncology and diagnostic or imaging systems, here’s where we develop, deploy and maintain the specialist applications used by our frontline clinical teams.
- Non-clinical Applications
- Like any large, complex organisation, we rely on a wide range of central functions. Think HR, Finance and Facilities Management. Keeping the systems those colleagues rely on running smoothly is all thanks to this team.
- Project Delivery
- Innovative new tech to deliver the best care? We’re continually introducing new technologies that help our organisation provide the best possible patient care. Ensuring those projects run smoothly is all down to this team. From project estimating, planning, scheduling and execution, this team manages the full project life cycle.
- Security
- This team ensures our patients’ data is secure, among many other things. Everything about security, cyber security, governance, risk and compliance is down to this team, ensuring everything we do is secure as well as innovative.
- Service Delivery
- This team supports the day-to-day IT of our service, which includes managing the capacity, performance, and availability of all the components used across HCA UK, to ensure everyone has the technology they need to do their job. This team also develops and delivers the training that enables our consultants to realise our tech’s full potential.
