Job Description
The Senior Manager, Regional Ads Strategy will be responsible for defining and driving the regional strategy to accelerate advertising revenue growth across 15 markets. Leading a team of two, this role owns the long-term strategic direction of the Ads business, ensuring markets achieve both short-term targets and sustainable long-term growth.
This role partners closely with Commercial, Product, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and country teams to identify growth opportunities, diagnose business challenges, and develop scalable solutions that maximize Ads revenue. As the regional owner of Ads strategy, the Senior Manager will ensure the Ads roadmap remains aligned with evolving commercial priorities and broader business objectives.
Main Responsibilities
- Regional Ads Strategy: Define and execute the regional strategy for growing Ads revenue across 16 markets, identifying key growth opportunities and establishing strategic priorities that deliver sustainable business impact.
- Business Performance Ownership: Own the overall Ads revenue performance across the region by monitoring key commercial KPIs, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring markets remain on track to achieve both short-term and long-term targets.
- Product Performance & Commercial Insights: Lead the monitoring and analysis of Ads product performance, proactively identifying performance trends and diagnosing root causes of revenue fluctuations. Translate insights into actionable recommendations and drive resolution through the appropriate stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Leadership: Partner closely with Commercial, Product, Operations, Finance, Marketing, and country teams to influence product roadmaps, commercial initiatives, and operational improvements that contribute to Ads revenue growth. Ensure Ads strategy remains aligned as other commercial priorities and business initiatives evolve.
- Market Strategy & Performance Improvement: Guide markets in developing strategic growth initiatives to improve Ads performance. Support countries in overcoming commercial or operational challenges through structured problem-solving and data-driven recommendations.
- Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and develop a team of two Regional Ads Performance Managers, fostering a high-performance culture while providing strategic direction, prioritization, and professional development.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in commercial strategy, advertising, digital advertising, business strategy, consulting, commercial operations, or related fields.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing Ads or digital advertising growth strategies, with a strong understanding of advertising products, commercial levers, and revenue drivers.
- Strong understanding of digital advertising metrics and economics (e.g., CPC, CPM, CTR, conversion, advertiser ROI), with the ability to diagnose product and commercial performance issues and translate insights into strategic actions.
- Proven people management experience, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including experience with forecasting, business planning, target setting, and understanding Profit & Loss (P&L) performance.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior cross-functional stakeholders across Product, Commercial, Operations, Finance, and country leadership teams without direct authority.
- Excellent analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with experience using data to inform business decisions and shape strategy.
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-growth technology environment while balancing strategic thinking with execution.
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to simplify complex business problems and influence decision-making at all levels.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership, capable of driving initiatives from strategy through execution.
