As an important vertical under GrabMart ID, we specialize in delivering daily essentials, groceries, and FMCG products to customers in under 30 minutes — and we do it with a whole lot of heart.
Get to Know the Role
We're looking for a strategic Category Lead to join our organization in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this role, you will drive the performance and growth of your assigned category while leading a talented team to deliver. You'll be part of a dynamic team that believes in ownership, positivity, and growth. You will report to the Manager.
The Critical Tasks You Will Perform
- Develop and execute comprehensive category strategies that align with organizational objectives and market opportunities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering professional growth and accountability
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and optimize category positioning
- Manage category performance metrics, conduct regular reviews, and implement data-driven improvements to achieve targets
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and finance to ensure seamless execution of category initiatives
- Oversee budget allocation and resource management to maximize return on investment and operational efficiency
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, vendors, and partners to support category objectives
- Drive innovation and process improvements to enhance category competitiveness and profitability
- Monitor inventory levels, product mix, and assortment to optimize shelf space and customer satisfaction
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on category performance for senior leadership
