Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Assistant to join our finance team in Udaipur, India. In this role, you will provide essential support to our accounting department, working collaboratively with senior team members to ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism in all accounting operations.
- Process and verify invoices in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Assist with accounts payable operations, including invoice entry, verification, and coordination with vendors
- Support accounts receivable functions, including invoice preparation, payment processing, and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and ensure proper documentation for audit purposes
- Perform data entry tasks with meticulous attention to detail, minimizing errors and ensuring data integrity
- Reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies, escalating issues to senior accounting staff as needed
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures under the guidance of senior team members
- Respond to inquiries from internal departments and external stakeholders regarding accounting matters
- Organize and maintain accounting files, ensuring all documentation is properly filed and easily accessible
- Support the preparation of financial reports and statements as requested
- Adapt to changing priorities and assist with additional accounting tasks as needed to support team objectives
- Communicate proactively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of accounting tasks
Qualifications
**Essential**
- Proven ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
- Advanced time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting software
- Meticulous attention to detail with a commitment to numerical accuracy
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and bookkeeping practices
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate records and documentation
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies
- Professional demeanor and commitment to maintaining confidentiality of financial information
**Preferred**
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance department
- Familiarity with accounting software systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms
- Knowledge of invoice processing, accounts payable, and accounts receivable functions
- Experience with financial reconciliation and month-end closing procedures
- Certification in accounting or bookkeeping (such as a diploma in accounting or related field)
- Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment
