Job Description
Reporting to the Executive Housekeeper, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: -
- Fulfill special requests for miscellaneous items such as cribs, cots, extra towels, and other guest amenities
- Collect dirty linen, garbage, and recyclables from Room Attendant carts and closets in a timely and efficient manner
- Report necessary maintenance items and safety concerns to appropriate personnel
- Restock and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies, linens, and equipment throughout the property
- Assist Room Attendants with room turnover during peak seasons and high-occupancy periods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets, storage areas, and common spaces
- Support deep cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance initiatives as assigned.
- Follow all departmental policies, procedures, safety, and sanitation standards consistently
- Respond promptly to guest requests and special needs with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times
- Assist with special events, conventions, or large group check-ins as needed
- Report any damages, lost and found items, or security concerns to management immediately
Qualifications
- Previous Housekeeping experience an asset
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
- Highly responsible & reliable
- Ability to work cohesively as part of a team with minimum supervision
- Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
