What you'll do:
Production & Equipment Operation
- Operate cable fabrication and production equipment according to work orders, production schedules, and specifications
- Monitor equipment performance and ensure products are manufactured accurately and efficiently
- Ensure proper alignment, positioning, and preparation of materials throughout the production process
- Assist with machine setup, adjustments, and routine operational checks
- Report equipment malfunctions or operational concerns promptly
Assembly & Material Handling
- Assemble, bundle, and prepare finished products according to production requirements
- Install and secure production components and accessories as required
- Carry, stack, organize, and stage finished products for storage or shipment
- Count, organize, and prepare materials and hardware needed for production orders
- Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely when authorized
Quality Control
- Inspect products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with specifications
- Verify measurements, counts, and assembly requirements
- Identify and report quality concerns, damaged materials, or production discrepancies
- Support continuous quality improvement efforts
Safety & Housekeeping
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
- Participate in safety meetings and support a safety-first culture
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Ensure proper handling and storage of materials, tools, and equipment
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with supervisors, leads, and production team members to meet production goals
- Support efficient workflow and operational productivity
- Participate in training and skill development activities
- Perform additional duties as assigned
What you'll bring:
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
- Basic math and measurement skills
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to operate or learn production equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, production, construction, or industrial environments
- Experience operating production equipment or machinery
- Experience with material handling equipment such as forklifts
- Welding, cutting, fabrication, or maintenance experience is a plus
- Bilingual communication skills are a plus
- Work is performed in a manufacturing and production environment
- Exposure to machinery, noise, dust, and industrial materials
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and repetitive physical movements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 75 pounds
- May require overtime or extended hours to meet production schedules
- Must adhere to all safety procedures and PPE requirements at all times
