Role Summary

We're looking for an Integrated Account Director to lead a major integrated client partnership and drive outstanding business and marketing outcomes.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a high-profile account, collaborate across a high-performing cross-functional team, and influence business outcomes at the most senior levels. You'll be a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders, a champion of creative and strategic excellence, and a driving force behind commercial growth.

Scope & Positioning

• Business ownership: Holds accountability for a significant client business, acting as the primary senior client contact for day-to-day leadership and delivery.
• Cross-functional leadership: Partners closely with agency and specialist leaders to align ways of working, share best practices, and deliver a seamless client experience.
• Reporting line: Reports to a senior agency leader and works closely with executive stakeholders on strategic, commercial, and operational priorities.
• Focus: Leads integrated delivery, team orchestration, client partnerships, and commercial performance while ensuring excellent execution across all disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

Business Leadership & Client Partnership

• Serve as the senior day-to-day client lead, owning key client relationships and communications.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their business, market, customers, and objectives.
• Lead annual planning, business reviews, and strategic discussions.
• Identify opportunities for growth, innovation, and increased integration across services and capabilities.
• Ensure delivery against agreed business objectives, KPIs, and client expectations.

Integrated Project & Account Leadership

• Take overall responsibility and accountability for integrated campaigns and programs.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver work aligned to strategic objectives and business goals.
• Coordinate responses across multiple internal teams and external partners where required.
• Drive collaboration across strategy, media, creative, content, social, influencer, commerce, and other specialist disciplines.
• Manage priorities, risks, dependencies, and challenges across complex projects.
• Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards, brand requirements, and client expectations.

Process, Delivery & Operational Excellence

• Own delivery processes and governance frameworks, ensuring projects remain on track and risks are proactively managed.
• Work with teams to develop and implement plans with clear milestones, timelines, and resource requirements.
• Oversee workflow management, quality assurance, and operational processes across teams.
• Facilitate workshops, client presentations, and strategic planning sessions.
• Drive the development of case studies, award submissions, and thought leadership initiatives.

Commercial & Financial Stewardship

• Maintain oversight of revenue, scopes of work, forecasting, and business growth opportunities.
• Ensure resources, deliverables, and budgets remain aligned with client expectations and business objectives.
• Monitor financial performance, identify scope changes, and proactively manage commercial opportunities.
• Drive operational efficiencies and scalable ways of working to support sustainable growth and profitability.

Team & Leadership

• Lead and inspire a diverse cross-functional team.
• Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture focused on client outcomes.
• Act as an escalation point for business, operational, and delivery challenges.
• Build strong relationships across teams and encourage knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

Governance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure consistent application of agreed processes, reporting standards, and ways of working.
• Champion best practice and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
• Share learnings across teams and contribute to the ongoing evolution of the agency's operating model.
• Drive initiatives that improve client satisfaction, team engagement, and business performance.

Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing large-scale client relationships.
• Proven leadership, people management, and team development experience.
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
• Outstanding presentation, communication, and influencing skills.
• Experience leading integrated marketing, communications, or advertising programs.
• Comfortable managing budgets, scopes of work, forecasting, and commercial negotiations.
• Tertiary qualification in marketing, communications, business, or a related discipline preferred.
• Extensive account management or client leadership experience within an agency, consultancy, or integrated marketing environment.
• Proficiency across Microsoft Office and project management tools.
