Your day to day
- Lead engineering support for hotel development projects across SEAK, overseeing engineering design reviews, project execution, and pre-opening readiness to ensure hotels are delivered on time and in line with operational requirements.
- Act as the engineering subject matter expert for owners, consultants, and project teams, providing guidance on design optimisation, technical standards, operational efficiency, and long-term asset performance.
- Drive fire life safety compliance through inspections, testing, commissioning activities, and sign-off processes, ensuring all hotels meet required safety standards before opening.
- Champion sustainability initiatives by embedding energy efficiency measures into hotel designs, identifying new technologies, and supporting implementation of environmental performance goals across the portfolio.
- Partner with hotel teams during pre-opening and operational transitions, providing engineering expertise, technical guidance, and support for property improvement projects, conversions, and renovations.
What we need from you
- 10+ years of engineering experience within hospitality, commercial real estate, construction, building services, or a related field, including significant experience leading large-scale development or capital projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, engineering operations, fire life safety compliance, sustainability programmes, and hotel development processes.
- Proven ability to lead complex projects and influence stakeholders across owners, consultants, contractors, operators, and senior business leaders.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, balancing technical requirements, commercial considerations, project timelines, and operational outcomes.
- Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, with professional engineering, fire safety, mechanical, electrical, or sustainability certifications highly valued.
